Spending his early days in Adelaide, then moving to Darwin, New Zealand, and Sydney all before the age of 12, Paul Appelkamp grew up around many ways of life. His travelled upbringing and 4 years of University, studying Politics, Cultural and Media Studies led to a deep appreciation for diverse cultures, an appreciation that continually drives his music.

He uses a number of instruments, including guitars, stomp box, kalimba, harps and more, paying homage to the many sounds and styles that have influenced him over the years. He has always been an idealist, filling the air with rebellious lyrics and exposing boundaries for what they are. The music is further strengthened to its core by a voice that can raise the roof and a real unifying message that cannot be denied.
