“...the girls play breezy, dreamy pop tunes with the kind of melodies that drill themselves in to your head and set up camp for weeks” David Craddock, X-Press

Steeped in folk but in love with pop, Simone and Girlfunkle are a band from Western Australia that write unique and beautiful harmony laden music. Xpress Magazine describes Simone and Girlfunkle as “... wistful and breezy like a big ol’ heart filled with light and warmth. They make me think of driving a long country road on a cold sunny day, where the light seems brighter than possible...” These familiar faces from around Perth are excited to present the fruits of their labour with the lush debut album ‘Hurry Harry’. While the band prepares to do the live rounds and introduce the material to audiences nationally, songs been heard on MTV’s comedy ‘Awkward’, ‘Drop Dead Diva’, Australian series’ ‘Winners and Losers’ and soon‘Packed to the Rafters’. "Hurry, Harry" is available for pre-order and will be launched March 2nd 2013.

A great pop song, yes, but I love all the textures and melodies in this song too. Is that a mellotron? Awesome.

What else to say other than this is a true delight. Effortless, winsome pop.

This tune affirms my affection for S&G. There's a nice weathered quality to it, blending folk and pop in a thoughtful way.
