Hailing from a small town in NSW, Amy began writing and performing her own songs at the age of 13. With influences ranging from Sarah McLachlan, The Waifs, Clare Bowditch, Edie Brickell and Joni Mitchell, Amy has carved her own unique style from a blend of folk, roots and pop music.

Since moving to Tasmania in early 2005, Amy has been captivating Hobart audiences with her sweet, soulful voice, flowing guitar melodies and honest, down-to-earth songwriting style. Now a regular at Irish Murphy's and CBar @ The Waterfront, Amy has become a familiar face on the original music circuit, both in Hobart and across the state.

In 2006-2007 Amy held a residency at one-time Sandy Bay establishment Gilt Cafe and Restaurant, charming Friday night audiences and fostering a diverse and healthy music community through a variety of local support acts. She has also worked her magic on many a delighted punter at The Republic Bar, Alleycat Bar, Telegraph Hotel, Taste of Tasmania, Lark Distillery, Maginty's (Burnie), Brookfield Vineyard, D'Art Factory, Tasmanian Inn and many other local venues.

Amy returned to Goulburn to play at the Australian Blues Festival in February 2009, delighting audiences with stories from interstate. In December Amy and the Kitchenhands welcomed visitors at the Taste Festival and folk-rocked their audience at the Falls Festival in Marion Bay.

The rich stories which infuse Amy's heartfelt lyrics with such life and beauty have always been influenced by the natural environment. Whether it be a crisp, starry night or a gentle breeze on sunset, these inspirations - coupled with Amy's unique insights into life, love and relationships - set the scene for many of her songs, and often lead to entertaining between-song conversation in her live sets.

With her debut EP 'Hot Stars in a Cold Sky' released in November 2008, and her follow up 'A Week of Saturdays' released December 2009, Amy's musical future is looking bright, and, with plans for an extensive interstate promotional tour, she is sure to continue capturing the hearts of music loving audiences everywhere.

Beautiful, soulful voice. Exquisite, powerful lyrics. This girl should be up there with Blasko & Bowditch. She's awesome!
