Selah are an Adelaide based band, producing a mix of eclectic original funk, r’n’b and soul tracks with some electronic influences. Fronted by songstress Joanna ARULAMPALAM (Arul) and backed by vocal powerhouse Stephanie DUGAN, Laura KNOWLING and Ella MOECK, Selah is set apart by its focus on tight knit harmonies and intricate vocal stylings. The strong rhythm section consists of Craig JONES on bass, Leon LA POSTA on guitar, Stephen MOREL on synth and pads and Chris NEALE on drums and compliments the soulful vocals to create a full, hip sound characterised by its driving bass, clever riffs, synth synergy, melodic maturity and a hard groove.

Originally beginning life as (essentially) a covers band Selah have continued to develop, now working together on original repertoire (written by lead singer Joanna). Selah creates a sound unique to much of what is being heard in the current Adelaide music scene.
